Library View from Courtyard, 2017
What are our plans for the next 45 years? Beyond continuing to see that the collections keep up with new literature and advances in horticulture and that we continue to meet the needs of our ever-evolving clientele, what do we see as future directions of library growth? We are committed to growing and adapting to new technologies and new ways of giving, receiving, and sharing information. We will provide new and innovative ways to extend our resources and make them available to youth, to educators, and to our diverse community.
On Saturday, September 9, from 10am-4pm, the Library will hold an open house including a special story time as author Christie Matheson reads her book, Plant the Tiny Seed. The day will include a used book sale, a new art exhibition by award-winning botanical artist Kristin Jakob, children’s crafts, the Garden’s annual plant sale featuring California natives and succulents, and more. We hope you will join us on this special day to celebrate the Library’s 45th birthday.
